Het tafereel speelt zich af in Manhattan, circa 1941. In een uitvinderswerkplaats, gevestigd in een gebouw aan een smal steegje genaamd '41 Murray St.', werd de Chemex geboren. Het grotere verhaal is er een van excentriciteit, nieuwsgierigheid, doorzettingsvermogen en uitvinding. Dit verhaal inspireerde onze 'Home of the Chemex'-poster, die we met liefde hebben gemaakt voor de New York Coffee Fest. Vanwege de grote vraag naar dit prachtige stuk, hebben we besloten om het aan onze collectie toe te voegen, zodat jij het mee naar huis kunt nemen. Het toont ons allereerste Chemex-logo en een vintage tekening van onze geliefde karaf. De 'X' op de metrokaart markeert de plek van Dr. Schlumbohm's legendarische appartement, waar hij de iconische Chemex-koffiezetter ontwierp.
